Join us for a Friday the 13th Valentine’s celebration — a night of wine, love and feminist reclamation!
Friday the 13th wasn’t always considered unlucky. Linked to goddesses, lunar cycles and feminine power, it only became something to fear when patriarchy got it’s hands on it.
For our Valentine’s celebration this year we’re joining forces with In Vino Veritas on Well St, Hackney to reclaim this potent date!
Join us for an evening celebrating love in all it’s forms with a SPILL wine tasting where we’ll be pairing wines with conversation prompts inspired by our Friday 13th theme. We’ll also be honouring the witchy history of the date with tarot & palm reading, and we’ll have Mikayla our typewriter poet on hand to write you a poem to help celebrate love for yourself!
Plus the usual cocktails, snacks, and an excellent playlist!
In conjunction with our hosts IN VINO VERITAS we’ll be taking you through a Friday 13th themed SPILL tasting!
SPILL is our wine-tasting-with-a-twist where we pair wines with conversation prompts.
Your ticket includes 4 x 75ml taster glasses of wine. Additional glasses available for purchase.

Laura uses Tarot as a tool for self development, creative inspiration and psychological insight.
She uses Tarot de Marseilles rebuilt by Camoin and Jodorosky, and has studied and still studies with different teachers from different traditions.
Mini-palm readings

Your hands are a mirror to your mind!
Palmistry can offer insights on topics such as relationships, career, life direction, talents, health, finances and personality traits.
In a mini-reading, Asha can answer a specific question, or talk through one area of your choice.
She’ll be running mini readings throughout the evening for £12.

Asha has been reading palms for 5 years. She’s always taken an interest in the occult and tools of self discovery and gravitated towards palmistry after reading a book on it that I was supposed to gift someone else.

Typewriter poetry
with Mikayla
Mikayla joins us with their typewriter to write personalised poems just for you.
For this special night we invite you to share your thoughts on self-love with Mikayla and allow them to write you a poem to help celebrate yourself!
Poems will be written during your session, and gift-wrapped for you to take home.

Mikayla Elias is a poet from Nashville, Tennessee.
They attended Queen Mary, University of London for a Masters in Creative Writing and now live in London with their beautiful fiancé. Their guilty pleasure? Stealing the spotlight at karaoke.
Cocktails & Snacks
We may be a wine bar but cocktails have a BIG place in our heart!
Our tasting nights kick off with the opportunity for a cheeky cocktail first. Expect some fun Valentine’s / Friday 13th themed options on the list!
We also have a good selection of snack plates for you to munch on through your evening, including vegan, veggie, meat & fish options.
It’s hugely helpful to us to pre-order your snacks in advance to help us ensure we have enough on the night, and to help reduce waste.
The Evening
Join us 6:30-11pm
Join us from 6:30pm to start with a cocktail, or have an early tarot reading or poem!
The SPILL tasting will start around 7:30pm, and we serve the room as one so aim to arrive by 7:30pm at the latest (let us know if you’re running late!)
The tasting lasts until around 9:30pm, but we’ll stay open until 11pm so stick around for another glass of your favourite, more cocktails, tarot & poetry!
We’ll also have snacks throughout the evening.
Private & Communal Tables
You have the option to book a private table for your group, or to join one of our communal tables and meet others.

Tarot, Palm Readings & Typewriter booked separately
- We recommend advance booking for readings (add to cart above) as these sessions usually sell out ahead of the evening. They don’t need to booked when booking tickets, but if you are booking separately, please include the name you ticket has been booked under.

Tickets are non-refundable, but if the event sells out and we can re-sell your ticket to the waitlist, you will receive a 90% refund.
